25 wild things to do on a walk in nature
It’s time to get outside.
Gathering your family, wellies, hats & waterproofs you head for your local countryside park. The time for swinging on monkey bars and digging in the sandpit is nearly over and time for encouraging your family to walk one of the way-marked trails has just begun!
This course has been developed for you if you are a parent or grandparent who is looking for inspiring ideas of what you can do whilst you are out and about wandering with your family in the countryside, park or whilst you are munching on your picnic. During this course we will share ideas of how you can sharpen your family’s senses and engage their natural curiosity and imaginations to explore the hedgerows that line the trails, the individual trees and the woodland beyond. By the end of the course you will have a tool box of ideas to support you in engaging your family in a plenty of outdoor activities and games. You will also have started to develop your skills in areas such as mentoring, tracking, foraging & understanding bird language. We will also explore ways in which you can support you and your family to connect more deeply to the natural world and as a family.
