Frequently asked questions

How much experience do I need to participate?

None Required

How fit do I need to be?

A basic level of fitness is required as most of the taught activities lead on to practical application requiring active participation - for example short excursions to explore the woodland environment or for collecting fire wood. If you are unsure about the level of fitness required or to discuss whether you would be healthy to participate please contact us.

How do I get to the experience location?

These will be sent to you once your booking is confirmed.

What clothing and equipment will I need to bring?

A comprehensive kit list will be sent to you once your booking is confirmed.

Do I need to bring food?

Unless otherwise indicated in the event description all events are self-catered.  There are no litter bins available and we invite you to bring a ‘zero’ waste packed lunch or take your litter home to recycle it.

What if I have a food allergy or specific dietary requirements?

Please ‘Contact us’ to discuss

Can we bring vapes, cigarettes or e-cigarettes?

If you smoke we will identify a smoking area and discuss the disposal of cigarette butts in our initial event welcome

What are the toilet facilities like?

Toilet facilities vary according on the event attended.  For example there is a composting toilet in 'The Wild' for anyone who is not keen on watering the woodland.

What happens if the weather is bad?

This might make many of the individual activities more challenging, however we would anticipate that they remain achievable and activities will only be cancelled in extreme severe weather particularly if high winds and/or electrical storms are forecast. If required we have access to group shelters for breaks and activities.
