If you would like to learn the skills that will help you find & to observe wildlife more closely this is the experience for you..
At the beginning of this experience you will be shown ways to optimise your built in sensory superpowers including your eyesight and hearing. This will support the development of your wildlife detective skills. During our exploration in and around the ’wild’ you will discover some of the almost ‘invisible’ traces left by animals that pass through or live in the ‘wild'.
You will learn techniques to become more invisible to wildlife by mimicking nature and through a greater understanding of the daily habits and routines of certain species you will start to recognise when and where to be there to meet them throughout the year and time of day.
You will be introduced to some of the other clues left behind by nature that can also be interpreted to support our understanding of the landscape and the factors that impact on it. You will also be introduced to using some of these natural signs to support us navigating without the aid of modern navigational equipment such as GPS or a map & compass.
