Supporting Nature
Nature gives us so much. This day turns gratitude into practical action: making homes for wildlife, growing habitat and joining the people who count what lives here.
The day
We begin by looking at a place through the eyes of the creatures that live there: what's missing, and what would help.
You'll make homes for wildlife, from log piles and bee scrapes to bird boxes, and learn how to grow pollinator habitat in even a small space.
We'll talk about planting trees and hedges in the right place and the right way, and join in with a citizen science survey so your observations help the bigger picture.
You'll go home with a plan for giving back to your own place.
