Venture Further
Ready to go further from home? This day covers the planning and skills that help you head into wilder places safely and responsibly.
The two days
We start with planning a journey: choosing a route, what to take and how to tell someone where you're going.
You'll practise reading a map and using a compass, and learn to read the weather and the land as you go.
We'll look honestly at risk, what can go wrong and how to manage it, and at the kit that really matters.
The day finishes with choosing a site and setting up a simple camp, leaving no trace behind.
