Wild Crafts
Grow it. Gather it. Make it. A hands-on day of making useful, beautiful things from natural materials, slowly and with care.
The two days
We start by getting to know the materials: which woods carve well, which plants weave, and how to gather and prepare them at the right time.
You'll learn safe carving grips and make a simple butter spreader or spatula before moving on to carving a wooden spoon.
Through the afternoon you'll try a crooked knife and palm drill, weave a bramble basket and make bark containers and natural mats.
You'll leave with things you've made yourself, and ideas for growing your own craft garden at home.
