Wild Guide
For parents, grandparents, friends and leaders who want to help someone else fall in love with the natural world. You are here because someone once took the time to mentor you.
The day
We begin by remembering our own mentors, the people who noticed us and opened doors, and what they did that made the difference.
You'll practise deep listening and following the learner's lead, and learn to ask curious questions instead of giving answers.
We'll explore reading a learner and guiding from behind, and use storytelling and the mind's eye to bring an experience to life.
Finally we look at flow learning, a simple way of shaping a session so energy rises, settles and stays.
